28 June 2022 - 2022-23 Budget Adoption

Council at its Special Meeting held on 28 June 2022 adopted the 2022-23 Budget.    Key aspects include:

  • A 2.0% increase in revenue from General Rates
  • Key projects including:
    • Cannawigara Road, Bordertown -  reconstructing shoulders and seal widening - $680,000, including  Special Local Roads Program (SLRP) funding $340,000 (tbc)
    • Bunker Road, Keith - reconstructing shoulders and seal widening - $110,00, including SLRP funding of $55,000 (tbc)
    • Weir Drive and Jenkin Road, Bordertown - sealing of roads in rural living zones - $189,000
    • Re-sheeting unsealed roads - $1 million and resealing sealed roads - $750,000
    • Keith Institute Upgrade Changerooms and Storage - $217,698, Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LCRIP) Phase 3
    • Tatiara Pools - disability changerooms Bordertown $50,000, fencing Keith $20,000, LRCIP Phase 4 (tbc)
    • ITC Roadmap Implementation
    • Hawke House - improvements to disability toilet  $50,000, LRCIP Phase 4 (tbc)
    • Bordertown Caravan Park development - eight Workers Accommodation units $675,000, jointly funded by Council and federal government
    • Implementation of the Tatiara Economic and Tourism Development Strategy 2020-2024 $30,000
    • Keith and Bordertown Industrial Estates development - $700,000  for each estate
    • Haynes Street Carpark - $300,000, including $200,000, LRCIP Phase 4 (tbc)
    • Tatiara Motorsport Precinct Redevelopment - $400,000 grant to Tolmer Speedway
