National Desexing Network (Cats)
The Tatiara District Council has partnered with the National Desexing Network (NDN) and the Dog and Cat Management Board to be able to offer subsidised desexing for cats to local residents.
With the costs shared between pet owners, council, Dog and Cat Management Board, local veterinarians and NDN, we aim to help prevent cat abandonment and euthanasia, reduce feral and stray cat populations, and lower council and local veterinarian costs associated with managing unwanted cats.
Participating vets: Bordertown Veterinary Clinic.
How does the NDN Program work?
If you are resident of the Tatiara District Council and require subsidised desexing, please call National Desexing Network on 1300 368 992.
A desexing voucher will be emailed to you, and you can then call a participating clinic and make an appointment being sure to mention that you have an NDN desexing voucher.
Currently, the owner contribution for residents is $90 male cat, $150 female cat.
Call the Council office 08 8752 1044 if you require any further information.
