Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
Saturday – 9.30 am to 11.30 am.
Sunday and Public Holidays - CLOSED
Joining the Library
Any permanent resident in South Australia is welcome to apply to join the Bordertown Public Library.
For those who are aged 18 and over formal identification showing your name, current local address and signature must be presented.
If you are under 18 years of age your parent or legal guardian must complete and sign our application and show proof of identity.
To borrow from your library you need to bring your library card with your selection to the circulation desk.
You may borrow up to 30 items with a limit of five DVD's and two CD's per card and 1 toy per card.

Loan periods are:
14 days for DVDs and CD music
14 days for Magazines
14 days for Toys
28 days for all other items.
If you wish to keep an item for longer please ask a staff member to renew it for you (subject to item availability). Returns can be brought into the library during opening hours or deposited through the after hours chute outside the library.

Outreach Service
A library assistant delivers library material to residents who are physically unable to visit the library. The Bordertown Hospital, Retirement Village & Charla Lodge receive deliveries every Thursday morning.
Children's Programs
School holiday activities and special events are offered throughout the year.
Toy Libary
The Library has a selection of toys available for loan. These can be found in the "Toy Cupboard" located in the children's section.
Rhyme Time
Rhyme Time is a special opportunity for you and your little one to enjoy rhymes and songs. It allows children to hear rhymes, stories and language and broaden their creativity and imagination. Sessions are held on Tuesdays at 11am during the school term. Suitable for babies to toddlers. Parents, grandparents and friends are very welcome.
Local History Centre
The Library is committed to preserving the "living" history of the Tatiara. Resources which are either produced by or about locals of the Tatiara region are collected, stored and displayed in the Local Histor Collection. Family history resources and SA Births, Deaths & Marriages Registers are also available. The Library has a microfilm collection of newspapers including the Border Chronicle and Tatiara Mail.

The Library provides a photocopying and laminating service. Please ask at the Circulation Desk for assistance.

With our new MobilePrint Service™, you can use your personal computer or mobile device to print to the library's printers from anywhere. Internet Access
Use your Library Membership Card to book a free public internet computer, available to the public for 1 hour sessions. You only pay for printing. Also Free Wireless Service.
