Australia Day Award Nominations Open

Nominations for the 2021 Tatiara District Council Australia Day Awards are now open. The awards aim to recognise individuals or organisations that have made an outstanding contribution during the past year, or have demonstrated commitment over a number of years to our local community.

Confidential written nominations are invited for:

  • Young Citizen of the Year (persons under 30 years of age on 26 January 2021),
  • Citizen of the Year (persons 30 years of age or older on 26 January 2021),
  • Community Event of the Year, for events staged during 2020, and
  • Active Citizenship, delivery of outstanding work or for an event or cause staged during 2020.

Nominations are being sought for outstanding contribution and community service in areas such as education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, business, sport, arts, the environment, or other areas that contribute to the advancement and wellbeing of our community.

The Active Citizenship accolade will be awarded to a person or group that has demonstrated leadership and involvement in the community during the past year. The recipient does not need to be an Australian Citizen.

Nominations will be accepted until 5:00pm on Friday 20 November 2020 and should be marked ‘Australia Day Nomination 2021’ and can be delivered to 43 Woolshed Street, Bordertown or 34 Hender Street Keith, posted to Tatiara District Council, PO Box 346, Bordertown  SA  5268 or emailed to
