Padthaway Homestead

Padthaway was pioneered by Scotsman, Robert Lawson in 1847. He erected the first building in the Tatiara on his 127 square mile lease. The majestic Padthaway Homestead was built in 1882 by Scotsman Robert Lawson for his wife Eliza.

Nestled deep in the heart of quality vineyards, Padthaway Homestead is renowned for its fascinating history. The old woolshed, built in 1901, houses the Padthaway Estate Winery where “Eliza” was produced on Australia’s only traditional French Cochard Champagne press.

The grounds are not open to the public.
