HELP SHAPE THE TATIARA

Tatiara District Council is seeking input from community members to help shape the 2020 – 2024 Economic Development and Tourism Strategy.  An online survey has been created to obtain people’s ideas on how to maximise the potential of the Tatiara and the local economy.

Tatiara District Council Chief Executive Officer Anne Champness said, “There are significant opportunities for increased infrastructure, jobs and investment in the Tatiara. This strategy will help identify the most effective and complementary initiatives that will attract new business and industry, as well as supporting existing businesses and residents”.

Consultations have occurred with Bordertown on the Move, Mundulla on the Move, Wolseley Recreation Reserve Committees, local real estate agents and key business and community stakeholders in Padthaway and Keith to date.  The consultations have focused on the opportunities and challenges that may present the region in the next five years, concentrating on the workforce, community infrastructure, business and industry and tourism.

“The community consultations to date have provided some fantastic projects and priorities identified for our towns.  The online survey allows every member of the community to provide feedback and ideas on how the Tatiara can leverage its advantages to compete for new business and improve the infrastructure and services in the region for our residents and visitors”, Mrs Champness said.

Community members with questions or feedback about the Strategy can contact consultant Katherine Colbert on 0409 527 041 or email Katherine@katherinecolbert.com.au.

The survey closes 31 October 2019.
