TATIARA COMMUNITY GRANTS

Applications closing soon for Tatiara District Council’s Community Grants Funding, don’t miss out!

 

Mayor Graham Excell said “Council’s Community Grants program was first established in 2003. Funding is available to support our local community to undertake projects, improve facilities and host events that will make the Tatiara an even better place for all of us”.

 

The Community Grants program is based on a philosophy of partnership. Council recognises the vital role that individuals, community groups and organisations play in contributing to the creation of a vibrant and sustainable region. In return, Council provides a range of grants to encourage and support individuals and community groups to engage in activities that enhance the quality of life in the Tatiara.

 

Funding is available in four categories: 

Minor Grants

  • Individual Achievement Grant – maximum $350 national event, maximum $750 international event
  • Quick Response Grants – maximum $750 small equipment, small events

Major Grants

  • Events & Festival Grants – maximum $2,000 festivals and events
  • Recreational Facilities Upgrade Grant – maximum facility / extensions / improvement / construction $10,000

 

Minor Grant applications are approved monthly. Applications close for Major Grants on 20 October 2019.

 

Mayor Graham Excell said, “At our October Council meeting, we approved an Individual Achievement Grant for Aaryan Ghimire to represent the South Australian Under 16 Regional Boys State Soccer Team at the SingaCup 2019, held from 4 to 8 November 2019 in Singapore. In November, we will be considering Major Grants applications and I encourage everyone to think about what their club, facility or group want to achieve and look into whether it fits into the criteria for grants.“
