The Visitor Centre, located in Tolmer Park, on North Terrace, Bordertown, is visible from the Dukes Highway as you enter the town perimeter from the east. The Centre is an addition to the old police station which can be clearly seen from inside the building.
It provides information on the Tatiara District, South Australia and Victoria with an internet facility providing access to information from around Australia and beyond.
The Old Gaol toilet block is worthy of an often necessary stop or take a stroll through the delightful Tolmer Park picnic area with interpretive signs giving a brief history of the Bordertown area.
Call in to see Chris, Heather, Christine or one of the many volunteers for a chat about the district, look at local art work, discover the Tatiara and find out about the Limestone Coast.
The Centre is open every day of the year, except Christmas Day - weekdays from 10.00am to 4.00pm and on weekends and public holidays from 10.30am to 2pm. Information packs are also provided for collection after hours as well as a Tourism TouchScreen.
